Ref.1550SG created for pilots belonging to the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundeswehr). It was produced for a long time from 1955 to 1990 when the Bundeswehr was established. It has been used in a wide variety of backgrounds and is said to have been provided to artillery. There are several variations of the dial, but this is the type where you can see the "T" at 6 o'clock. The case with a diameter of 43 mm and a thickness of 13 mm is a gunmetal color with a hairline finish, giving it a rugged atmosphere. The case back has a screwed clam shell structure. The mounted movement is Valjoux Cal.230. It is a highly reliable machine with military-supplied specifications that employs a rare flyback function and column wheels.
The case has a great proportion with few scratches. Although the minimum dents can be seen, there are few small scratches, and it seems that it is rarely used. The cutting on the top of the rug remains beautiful. The bezel, which is prone to damage, retains a good black tint. The dial is in mint condition with no scratches or stains. There is no change in the texture and the print retains the original color. Luminous in Arabia is moderately colored and has changed to a mellow beige color typical of vintage watches. We have disassembled and cleaned it, and have confirmed a power reserve of 44 hours. The chrono function is also working well.
The flyback feature is primarily requested by the German and French forces, allowing the chronograph hands to be reset more easily and the separate time intervals to be quickly considered without delay in pressing the two buttons.
