Description

Breitling Navitimer 8 Chronograph

Breitling Navitimer 8 Chronograph is a stainless steel reference introduced as part of the Navitimer. It features a 43 mm case with a reduced lug-to-lug profile compared with earlier Breitling sports chronographs, improving wearability while maintaining a substantial presence on the wrist. The case measures approximately 14.4 mm in thickness and is paired with a 23 mm lug width. The watch is fitted with a steel bracelet and uses pump-style chronograph pushers and a screw-down crown, providing 100 metres of water resistance. The dial is presented in a sunburst blue finish with contrasting printed markers and three recessed sub-dials for chronograph functions, including elapsed minutes and hours, along with running seconds. A day-date display is positioned at 3 o'clock for added practicality. The bezel is bidirectional and intended for basic timing functions rather than a slide rule scale, reflecting a simplified design approach. Inside, the watch is powered by the Breitling Caliber 13, based on the Valjoux 7750 automatic movement, offering a 48-hour power reserve, 25 jewels, and chronometer certification. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour with hacking seconds and quick-set calendar, and a solid engraved case back design emphasis.
