56 mm / 585 gold / winding with key / 113 g / circa 1850 / running. Magnificent, very well preserved Lépine for the Chinese market with the signature "W'm Watson / London". Enamel dial with Roman numerals for the hours. Pear‑shaped hands made of blued steel. Central seconds hand. Pearls set in the glass rim, pendant and strap. Case back finely guilloché with green translucent enamel. Engravings around the case with white enamel and on red translucent enamel. Case rim also laid with pearls. Movement with duplex escapement; flying barrel with setting, ruby bearings in the gear train, flat spiral, cover stone on the balance with diamond, screw balance with trapezoid weights. Very high‑quality watch; despite the English signature probably of Geneva production. *Rear‑side enamel on the rim with cracks.*
