Pocket Watch "Pateck Genève"

50 mm / 750 gold / manual winding / 102 g / circa 1880 / functional. Armand Schwob & Frère of La Chaux‑de‑Fonds sold watches under the name "Pateck Genève" up to the 1890s. This practice was stopped after a lawsuit by Patek Philippe. Richly engraved silver dial with gold appliqués. The movement is of high quality with a compensation balance, Breguet hairspring, anchor with counterweight in the form of beetle‑type regulators, and screwed gold chatons. Striking mechanism with two hammers on two springs. Case with abundant engraving. On the cover and the back, two lion heads surrounded by floral elements. Empty monogram cartouche on the cover. Case number 15'200 (the inner cover mistakenly bears the number 16'200). *The striking mechanism runs down slowly.*
