Savonette for Two Local Times

52 mm / 750 gold / Key-wound / 94 g / circa 1860 / functional. Elaborately decorated Savonette with a central chronograph seconds hand and two different local times. Enamel dial with two sub-dials showing Arabic and Roman numerals. Railway minute track. Very fine gold hands. Jumping seconds from the centre with its own wheel train. Gold‑plated movement with a column‑wheel escapement in a right‑angle layout, anchor with counterweight shaped like a bishop’s staff. Two mainspring barrels wound from the back. Fine engraving on both plates. Front depicts a rural idyll with hunter, woman and dog. Reverse shows a bouquet of flowers. A very rare and highly interesting watch.
