A floral decoration, enhanced with chrysoprases, waxed onyx, red stones, and old-cut and 8/8 diamonds on a black satin bracelet, the clasp set with rose-cut diamonds. Manual winding mechanical movement. Inner circumference approximately 190 mm. Numbered. French hallmarks for 18K gold (750°/00) and platinum (950°/00), master hallmark.During the Art Deco period, jewelers explored color with great freedom, using stones much like a painter uses a palette. The taste for Asia brought materials such as enamel and onyx back into fashion, valued for the strong contrasts created by their opacity. Set alongside precious stones and metals, they emphasize the geometric lines characteristic of the Art deco style, while also allowing stylized motifs inspired by flowers and fruit.
