Military TrophiesMarkwick Markham Perigal, London, No. 15407, circa1825.Very fine silver triple-cased, Petite Sonnerie, quarter-striking and repeating coach watch in its original fitted box, accompanied by a silver chain terminated with a key, made for the Islamic market., CHF 30,000 - 35,000 USD 18,200 - 21,200 C. Outer: two-body, two-tone shagreen decorated with silver pin-work alternating with pierced and foliate-engraved sectors, the bezels pierced with scrolling foliage. Middle: two-body, the bezels pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage, polished center. Inner: two-body, "bassine" form with deep back part, the back engraved with military trophies, the band pierced and engraved with scrolling. D. White enamel with original early Arabic numerals. Blued steel "poker and beetle" hands. M. Hingedilt brass full plate with turned pillars, fusee with chain, verge escapement, plain steel three-arm balance, flat balance-spring, gilt brass English cock pierced and engraved with scrolling foliage. Quarter-striking and Petite Sonnerie trains with fixed barrels, striking and repeating on a bell, repeating by depressing the pendant.
