DIAL+HANDS: The dial is where this watch really shines with a clean overall look The minimalist bloodstone surface presents no cracks and a crisp silver text imprint.
Along with the pencil silver hands, the ensemble contrasts beautifully with the green and red colors of the stone.
CRYSTAL: The mineral crystal is immaculate, free of any spots or scratches.
CASE: The 18k yellow gold oval case is a tasteful nod to its 1970’s origin. The stepped bezel and short lugs make it appear more imposing on the wrist, as it measures 33mm across and 28mm from lug to lug.
The case remains faithful to its profile with well-defined lines. It displays minimal signs of use for its age, commensurate with careful wear.
CASE BACK: The 18k yellow gold, snap-on case back is very well preserved, as the glue residue of the old sticker is still present. The brushed finish displays some minor surface scratches along with the crisply stamped reference number and hallmark.
The inner side is clean and bears all the period-correct stamps. The Poinçon de Maître displays the number 29 indicative of the case maker: Weber & Cie S.A.
CROWN: The original crown bears the brand’s signature and operates correctly.
MOVEMENT: The in-house caliber 1-42 is a reliable, manually-wound movement, featuring 17 jewels and an incabloc shock protection.
