The Tudor Pelagos FXD was one of the most highly-anticipated watches of 2021, with purported leaks and speculation ahead of its official release. Once announced, it naturally became very popular for its slightly more modest proportions and no-date configuration, as well as its backstory as a design collaboration with the French Navy's Commando Hubert (combat swimmers - the French equivalent of the SBS or Navy SEALS). Every aspect of the watch is designed with practicality in mind. The bidirectional bezel allows the user to adjust the bezel in case of any accidental knocks instead of having to rotate it all the way around. Meanwhile, the fixed lugs eliminate any possibility of the watch falling off the user's wrist due to faulty spring bars, and allow the two straps to be securely attached to the case. TUDOR For most of its history, Tudor was seen as Rolex's little brother. Today, Tudor may still be part of the same family, but the little brother has now grown into a full-fledged watchmaking powerhouse in itself.
