1974 Ladies Tudor Princess Oysterdate

Title: 1974 Ladies Tudor Princess Oysterdate Year-1974 This is a Tudor Princess Oysterdate ladies watch called Chrono-time, but with a unique bezel. Model reference 9321/0 HOW DO WE DATE THIS WATCH? From the serial number on the case back we can accurately date this watch to being made in 1974. CONDITION The Chrono-time was a ladies dive watch by Tudor with a rotating bezel, but on this watch the bezel had been lost. No replacements were available, so we had a standard fixed bezel made from 316L stainless steel. So this is not for the purist, but is priced accordingly and could be reversed if you find the bezel available – with the original bezel it would be double the price. The bezel was fitted with a hytrel seal and a new crystal, and has been worn on a hot day to ensure the seal performs. We do not guarantee the water resistance of any vintage watch, but at least we know this doesn’t allow condensation in. What you still get is a nice ladies Tudor Oyster Princess (the Princess isn’t a patronising, Eastenders type of reference – the men’s version was simply called the Prince), with the case back and crown marked with the Rolex logos (Rolex own Tudor, and at this point they were making the watches). The crown also screws down smoothly. The case back unscrews to reveal a Tudor signed ETA automatic movement, calibre 2651, which also has quick set date and 21 jewels. All is working well. The steel case and bracelet are unpolished and do show surface marks, but not significant damage. The long bracelet has been cleaned in our ultrasonic bath. The blue dial is in good order, as are the hands This watch will be supplied with our branded presentation box and our Certificate of Authenticity.
