**No offers please on this watch**
This superb looking original vintage watch has been fully serviced following a complete strip down, clean, reassembly, and correct lubrication and timing.
It has the iconic ESA chronometer electronic tuning fork movement, known as the ‘hummer’ from its distinctive sound, and has been brought up to spec with the addition of the new, new old stock (NOS), and replacement parts listed below.
Make/Model: Tissot ‘Tissonic Electronic’ tuning fork watch.
Movement: Tissot 2010 (ESA 9162) with serial no. 16696771 from 1973 year of manufacture, with ‘quickset’ date function.
Casing: Stainless steel Tissot type ‘40.800’ with screw back cover. Tissot signed crown. 39mm across not including the crown. Stainless steel Tissot bracelet type ‘2154-46512’, with signed clasp, and new spring bars.
Dial/hands/Crystal: Beautiful original Tissot blue dial with stylized sinusoidal design (to represent the F300 frequency waveform), with chrome hour markers. Original steel hands including steel sweep seconds hand. Original bespoke Tissot crystal.
New/NOS items: Metal date indicator disk. Correctly sized 344 button cell battery. Case back O-ring. Crystal sealing ring. Crown micro O-ring seal. Swiss spring bars.
Replacement items: Internal case/movement braces. 3x case clamps and screws.
Service/refurb: Only the best Moebius oils and grease have been used and applied correctly during the comprehensive service (types 9010, 9020, 8201 Moly, 8200, 8300, silicone). All relevant parts demagnetised.
Light hand polish of case components to reduce the appearance of any blemishes. Crystal polished with specialist compound to reduce marks.
Extended test accuracy (on bench, dial up and down) is excellent, within a couple of seconds average per day.
Other: As expected of a vintage watch there are minor signs of age/patina/marks etc, and this one is in very nice condition overall. There are some minor residual blemishes to the original crystal. As with most vintage watches it no longer has its original box or paperwork.
Note that my vintage watches have no guarantee of being water resistant/proof, and you should assume they are not.
The crown is pulled out to the mid stage to ‘quickset’ the date in either direction; it is then pulled out a stage further in order to set the hands (or store the watch as this is also the power Off position).
As additional info for those already familiar with these movements - it has been serviced in accordance with the Omega technical manual, including the gauged set-up of both the index and stop click jewels, and the exacting and essential lubrication of the friction wheel with specialist grease. It is drawing 9/10 micro amps full-load current at 1.35/1.55V, and has been tested to work correctly over the 1.05 to 1.70V voltage range. All electrical resistance measurements of coils and transistor are satisfactory.Tissot 1973 Tissonic Electronic cal.2010 Tuning Fork Watch
