1981 Rolex 16808 Submariner
This gold sub is a jaw dropper. Perhaps my favorite iteration of a gold submariner these early 16808 have really cool gilt matte black dials providing the perfect canvas for the gold “nipple” indicies to sparkle as it catches the light. The case is thick and the patina the tritium has taken on is gorgeous. In addition to being an amazing watch on its own merits the watch comes part of a super complete set; papers, booklets, and a stack of service docs. You can tell the owner of this piece loved it given how well preserved the set is.
