Rolex GMT-Master 1675

Description

Rolex GMT-Master

This Rolex GMT-Master is offered in the UK by a business seller. A vintage example of Rolex's iconic pilot's watch. The serial number suggests this example was produced in 1969. Presented as a watch-only lot - the original display box and warranty papers are not included. The vendor confirms the watch to be in good working order. Launched in 1954, the Rolex GMT-Master has a well-earned place as one of the most sought-after and historic travel watches on the planet. The ref. 1675 represents the second generation of the GMT-Master, and with its production spanning over twenty years from 1959 to 1980, represents one of the longest-running models in the Geneva Giant’s history. The watch features a 40mm stainless-steel case and is fitted with Rolex’s iconic blue and red “Pepsi” bezel. The bezel features a 24-hour scale, which when referenced against the red GMT hand, allows the wearer to track two time zones simultaneously. The tritium-filled hour markers and faded bezel add to the watch’s vintage aesthetic, whilst the original hands were replaced during a recent service. Beneath the screw-down case-back beats Rolex’s in-house developed calibre 1570, an automatic certified chronometer with a 48-hour power reserve.
