ROLEX - a stainless steel Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master 'Pepsi' automatic calendar bracelet watch, ref. 1675, circa 1972, matt black dial with luminous dot and baton hour markers, outer minute divisions, cyclops date aperture, polished luminous Mercedes hands, sweep centre seconds hand and further red arrow dual time zone hand, with blue and red 'Pepsi' bezel insert, with stainless steel Rolex 7836 Oyster links and 380 end links, 26 jewel movement with calibre 1570, serial no. 2910627, case width 39mm, working order. Notes: the Rolex GMT was launched in 1954 after the Transatlantic Airways Company asked Rolex to produce a watch useful for their pilots. It quickly gained favour among the Pan-Am executives and the business jet set community as a whole.
