Introduced at the Basel fair in 2000, the case had been redesigned with new glossy lugs and was manufactured with a bracelet with solid links. The chronograph was assembled with the new movement Calibre 4130, which lead the sub-register for running seconds to move from 9 to 6 o'clock. The current example is a rare variant of the 116520 family. Produced approximately only between 2011 and 2014, this version became known by collectors as the "APH Daytona" or “Error Dial” due to the pronounced gap between the ‘R’ and ‘APH’ in the word 'Cosmograph' on the dial. This is a rare opportunity to own this highly collectible model in overall very fine condition with blue ‘Chromalight hands’. With the advent of the new millennium, Rolex decided to release a new version of their iconic Daytona chronograph. Introduced at the Basel fair in 2000, the case had been redesigned with new glossy lugs and was manufactured with a bracelet with solid links.
