The Rolex reference 16520 is among the most distinctive and innovative models to date. Inside it's animated by the caliber 4030, and based on the Zenith El Primero movement, marking the first automatic chronograph movement in Rolex's history. Launched in 1988, this watch immediately generated a waiting list at Rolex retailers, a success that would be replicated with the reference 116500LN in 2016. As often happens with Rolex watches, one can observe a subtle yet well-defined evolution of the dial design. The earliest specimens have a particularity in the design of the inscriptions on the dial, especially the word "Cosmograph", which is spaced differently compared to the other lines, earning the nickname "Floating Cosmograph" or "Staccato" among Italian collectors. Due to its rarity, this configuration is considered among the most collectible of the Zenith Daytona. The bezel, as well as the watch itself, features peculiarities, particularly the tachymetric scale with graduation up to 200 units, inherited from the previous manual-winding Daytona models. The model in question is in impeccable condition, accompanied by the 1989 Rolex warranty and the original box, making it a unique opportunity for Rolex enthusiasts.
