Rolex Day-Date 1803

Description

Rolex Day-Date 1803 Oxblood Dial

Pre-owned Rolex Day-Date ref 18038 (1967) is a rare and remarkable edition of the famous Rolex Presidential.  Instead of displaying the time on a traditional dial color, such as black, silver, or champagne, this vintage Rolex features a deep shade of red oxblood.  It's unique and distinctive, adding to the collectability of this outstanding Day-Date.  As a product of the late 1960s, the dial has a classic "Pie Pan" shape to it with slightly sloped edges and is decorated with yellow gold and Tritium.  The date is ever-present at the 3-hour marker, while the day is spelled out in full at 12 o'clock. We paired this model with a supple brown leather strap to compliment the striking red dial.
