In production for a few years in the early 1970s together with its sister model the ref. 6262, these two models were fitted with the upgraded Valjoux movement cal. 727. The luminous dots of this example have aged to a pleasing warm creamy tone, making the present lot an indelibly eye-catching and attractive wristwatch. The condition and quality of the watch are outstanding, which posit this "Paul Newman" at the very top of the tree. The rarity, well-preserved quality, and absolutely stunning dial allow the present watch to be one of the most collectable "Paul Newman" Daytonas to appear on the market.
