This uncommon vintage ref. 5700 1960 Rolex Air-King Date was purchased from the family of the original owner here in London Ontario. The watch was stored in its original uncommon vintage Rolex box. The insert of the box was changed over time. The 34mm stainless-steel case has never been polished and retains the original finish. This watch does not have any major dings or flaws… just regular marks from normal use over the years. This unpolished large-logo 19mm Rolex Jubilee bracelet has stretch (of course) but looks very good on the wrist. The reference 5500 Rolex Air-King Date is a very uncommon watch made only for the Commonwealth market; and mainly sold in Canada. We are not seeing many unpolished examples appearing. This dial is stunning-all original with amazing patina, original evenly aged, original handset, large arrow markers and all the lume plots are intact. The automatic-winding caliber 1530 movement was just meticulously serviced and is accurate. You will love the dial on this uncommon vintage Rolex!
