Rolex GMT-Master 16700

Description

Rolex GMT-Master

Manufactured from 1988 to 1999, the ref. 16700 represents the last generation of the original GMT-Master line that debuted back in 1954. A truly iconic model in the Crown’s history, the instantly recognisable 40mm case has a ‘Pepsi’ bi-colour bezel insert that’s become synonymous with the line. Internally, the watch is powered by the in-house calibre 3175 which was only ever used on this reference and features a quick-set date. The dial is finished in lacquered black with tritium lume hour markers, a magnified date aperture at 3 o’clock and a red GMT hand. This late example is fitted to an Oyster bracelet.
