Rolex Datejust 18K YG ref 16018 Buckley Dial circa 1979

A scarce and fine condition Rolex 18K gold Datejust ref# 16018 circa 1979 with hidden clasp Jubilee bracelet. Featuring a 36mm diameter case with smooth bezel and sapphire crystal. With very pleasing original champagne so called “Buckley” dial with intact warmly patina’d original tritium lume plots and matching tritium lume hands. Powered by self winding caliber 3035 movement with quick set date and sweep seconds. With Rolex 18K YG D link hidden clasp ref 8386 Jubilee bracelet with F date code. The bracelet shows considerable use and loosening, but still wears well on the wrist. This watch has been recently serviced and detailed by one of our veteran watchmakers and is offered with our 1 year warranty of accurate time keeping and operation. The 16018 Datejust is actually much more scarce than the more familiar President model. When new, the President was not that much more expensive than the Datejust. Consequently, there was much less production. While the Day Date came with a hidden clasp Presidential bracelet, the gold Datejust came with the hidden clasp Jubilee as shown here.
