Patek Philippe 5013 Minute Repeater Perpetual Calendar "FIRST ONE EVER MADE 001"

Introduced in 1992, the Patek Philippe Reference 5013J is a horological tour de force, combining an automatic minute repeater with a perpetual calendar and retrograde date in a beautifully proportioned tonneau case. This particular example is one of the utmost important examples every produced as it is the first 5013 out of the Patek Philippe factory showcasing its 001 movement number. In addition, this 5013 has a "Prototype" dial without the minute track printed on the dial which is not seen on any other 5013 that has ever come to market. At its heart lies the celebrated Caliber R 27 PS QR, an automatic movement with a 22K micro‑rotor, 39 jewels, and 515 components, stamped with the Geneva Seal—one of the most complex Patek wristwatch movements produced. The 18K yellow gold case measures approximately 36 mm wide and 46.4 mm lug‑to‑lug, with a thickness near 12.8 mm, offering elegant wrist presence. As the first automatic minute repeater with a perpetual calendar and retrograde date, the 5013J stands as a milestone in modern watchmaking and remains exceptionally rare, with production ceasing in the early 2000s. Collectors prize it not only for its technical brilliance and refinement but also for its rarity and pioneering status within Patek Philippe’s Grand Complication lineage. To own this first ever example of this historic reference is an incredibly rare opportunity for the most discerning collector of haute horologie pieces from Patek Philippe.
