The case of the watch is well-inspired by the iconic vintage perpetual calendar references 3448 and 3450 but is accentuated by modern design features such as its angular lugs and tall, sloped bezel. Its larger size also accommodates the new at time of release caliber 31-260 PS QL, which held three patents related to the innovative engineering, function, and arrangement of the linear perpetual calendar disks.
