Made in a limited edition of 500 pieces in 2006 to commemorate the Mike Horn and Borge Ousland North Pole expedition. A very fine and attractive, full-set, large, cushion-shaped, two time zone, automatic, antimagnetic, water-resistant, stainless steel wristwatch with midnight blue dial, painted luminous Arabic 12,6 numerals and baton indexes, luminous hands, date, constant second, special independently adjustable 24-hour hand for the second time zone, brushed steel bezel with raised white gold indexes for the four cardinal points, black rubber strap and a stainless steel Panerai secured double deployant clasp. Fitted with a Cal. OP VIII, rhodium-plated, Cotes de Geneve, 21 jewels, self-winding, straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance, shock absorber, self-compensating flat balance spring, protected by a snap on antimagnetic soft iron cap, screwed case back engraved with a North Pole map and Mike Horn’s & Borge Ousland’s signatures, unidirectional rotating bezel, straight lugs, patented winding crown with security lever to wind the watch even underwater, antireflective sapphire crystal with magnifying lens.
