In an attempt to mix the look of the Speedmaster chronograph pieces from the 1940's "snail" design, to this 43mm master chronometer chronograph Omega successfully did that. Case is made of stainless steel and the bezel is made of a blue anodized aluminum with a tachymeter-scale mounted atop. What really makes this piece unique is the center of the dial that has a "spiral" track pattern beneath the numbers that has these three distinctive timing scales.
Functions are displayed on a unique silvery dial with blue leaf shaped hands and Arabic numerals. Tachymeter is used for measuring speed. Pulsometer is used for measuring the number of heartbeats per minute. Telemeter is used for measuring how far you are from something that is visible and audible, such as your distance from a lightning bolt. The bracelet on this piece is stainless steel and has a see through case back that carries the movement caliber 9908.
