There are plenty of high-end watchmakers who create truly stunning pieces of art, but some of the more obscure watchmakers take that level of artistry and add to it in truly mind-blowing ways. One of those watchmakers is Laurent Ferrier. Founded in 2009, Laurent Ferrier produces around 150-200 pieces a year and has grown to become the holy grail of high-end super exclusive watchmaking, with the Classic Traveller Série Atelier III, launched in 2022, that we have here showcasing everything they have come to stand for. Made of titanium, its 41mm construction is incredibly light and boasts a completely polished surface spanning its domed bezel, sloping lugs, and curvy mid-case. Powered by the automatic cal. LF230.02 it showcases a level of finishing behind its exhibition caseback that is truly spectacular and a beautiful finished solid-gold micro-rotor. However, beyond all of that, the Classic Traveller we have here is the limited edition variant, of just fifteen pieces. Featuring a stunning “magnetic green” dial, the Classic Traveller’s display boasts a date aperture at 3 o’clock and a second time zone in the larger aperture at 9 o’clock which can be advanced or reversed in one hour increments through the pushers at 8 and 10 o’clock on the case.
