Réinterpréter, déconstruire et ressusciter
Pour célébrer le 75ème anniversaire de la Reverso, Jaeger LeCoultre imagine une collaboration inédite avec le designer américain Darren Romanelli. Plaçant le vintage et les pratiques d'upcycling au cœur de sa démarche créative, « Dr Romanelli » s'est imposé comme l'un des stylistes les plus visionnaires et a su séduire une clientèle internationale à l'avant-garde de la mode.
Souhaitant faire entrer la Reverso dans une nouvelle modernité, le créateur imagine une nouvelle manière de porter ce garde-temps intemporel et créé pour Jaeger LeCoultre un modèle « Streetwear », qu'il est possible d'assortir avec un blouson grâce à un ingénieux système de bracelet amovible.
Considéré comme l'un des créateurs les plus influents, Darren Romanelli a signé des collaborations avec des marques mythiques comme Stussy, Comme des Garçons ou encore Carhartt WIP. Il a également collaboré avec les plus grands noms de l'art contemporain et travaillé avec les galeries Perrotin et Gagosian.
Déclinée en deux séries limitées de 50 exemplaires, cette collection est l'une des plus audacieuses qu'a osée Jaeger LeCoultre ces dernières années. Superbe collector conjuguant Horlogerie et Couture Streetwear, cette montre casse les codes de l'élégance classique.
Avec son cadran noir et argent, décoré d'une paire de ciseaux, signature de celui qui s'est imposé comme la star de la customisation grâce à ses patchworks de tissus, le modèle proposé est l'une des versions les plus contemporaines de la Reverso.
Reinterpreting, deconstructing and resurrecting
To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Reverso, Jaeger LeCoultre has imagined an original collaboration with the American designer Darren Romanelli. Placing vintage and upcycling practices at the heart of his creative approach, "Dr Romanelli" has established himself as one of the most visionary designers and has won over an international clientele at the forefront of fashion.
Wishing to bring the Reverso into a new modernity, the designer imagined a new way of wearing this timeless timepiece and created a "Streewear" model for Jaeger LeCoultre, which can be matched with a jacket thanks to an ingenious removable strap system.
Considered one of the most influential designers, Darren Romanelli has signed collaborations with legendary brands such as Stussy, Comme des Garçons or Carhartt WIP, and has also worked with the biggest names in contemporary art such as the Perrotin and Gagosian galleries.
Available in two limited series of 50 pieces, this collection is one of the most daring that Jaeger LeCoultre has produced in recent years. A superb collector's item combining watchmaking and streetwear, this watch breaks the codes of classic elegance.
With its black and silver dial, decorated with a pair of scissors, the signature of the man who has established himself as the star of customisation thanks to his fabric patchworks, the model on offer is one of the most contemporary versions of the Reverso.
