IWC Grande Complication IW9270-14

Description

IWC Grande Complication Platinum Box with German Papers, Year 2003, Ref IW9270

Seven years of development, 50,000 working hours, twelve patents: When IWC introduced the first self-winding Grande Complication in watchmaking history in 1990, the manufacture from Schaffhausen forever changed the world of mechanical timekeeping. This watch in 950 platinum with the original platinum link bracelet is the most exquisite expression of this legend. The 42.2 mm platinum case houses the Caliber 79091 with 17 functions: minute repeater, perpetual calendar with four-digit year display, chronograph, and perpetual moon phase. Upon request, the watch chimes the time in hours, quarter hours, and minutes – an acoustic experience of extraordinary clarity. Dauphine hands and a silver-colored dial characterize the second generation. The solid platinum link bracelet with a folding clasp made from the same material embodies platinum craftsmanship in its purest form. For connoisseurs, it is crucial: the platinum bracelet is the essence of this watch. The references 9270 and 3770 are two distinct models – a Grande Complication on a platinum bracelet exists only as the original reference 9270 - limited to 50 pieces per year. This watch was manufactured in 2003 and was first delivered in January 2004 by the German IWC dealer Rüschenbeck – a seamlessly documented origin that underpins its provenance. Worn only a few times on special occasions, it is in excellent condition. Delivered with IWC box with limitation number (in age-appropriate condition), warranty certificate (Rüschenbeck, 01/2004), user manual, operating instructions, hangtag, and the original IWC book on the Grande Complication.
