This is a collaboration model with Brooklyn-based contemporary artist KAWS, who rose to fame for his works depicting characters with crossed eyes. Based on IKEPOD 's popular "Horizon" series, the dial features KAWS's trademark "cross". [The appeal of IKEPOD] MARC NEWSON, a world-renowned industrial designer who has brought a wide range of products to the world, from the Apple Watch and Ajinomoto bottles to furniture and jet planes, teamed up with Swiss businessman Oliver Icke to create IKEPOD in 1994. The company's iconic UFO-like shape and coloring made a huge impact on the watch industry at the time. Although the brand went on hiatus several times, it was revived in 2019 through crowdfunding. While retaining the original case design, the dial design has been completely redesigned. The designer was Emmanuel Guillet, who also worked on AUDEMARS PIGUET Royal Oak Offshore. To capitalize on this revival and attract more users, the lineup now includes a new, lower-priced model equipped with a quartz movement, as well as diver's, GMT, and automatic models with chronograph mechanisms.
