Heuer Autavia 73463

Description

1970s Heuer Autavia 73463

The Heuer Autavia is one of the most iconic watch lines from Heuer blending motorsport and aviation heritage in one timepiece. First introduced in 1933 as a dashboard timer, the Autavia transitioned into a wristwatch in 1962 under Jack Heuer’s leadership. This beautiful example features orange accents and a substantial 42mm stainless steel tonneau-shaped case, characteristic of 1970s Autavia models. Due to its limited production run and distinctive design elements the Autavia 73463 is highly sought after in the vintage watch market. Interesting Fact “ Heuer was at the forefront of the automatic chronograph revolution. In 1969, Heuer, in collaboration with Breitling, Hamilton, and movement specialist Dubois-Dépraz, developed the Caliber 11, one of the world’s first automatic chronograph movements. This innovation was groundbreaking at the time and set the stage for Heuer’s dominance in the 1970s.” Dial Colour : Silver with Black Sub Dials Collection : Autavia Style : Men’s Case Material : Steel Case Diameter : 42mm Clasp : Buckle Strap : Black Leather Glass : Plexi Movement : Mechanical Val 7734 Water Resistance : N/A Features : Chronograph Stock Code: TAG195 This watch has been fully serviced and includes a two-year guarantee.
