Rapidement une collaboration voit le jour, et l'idée d'une collection de montres "Girard Perregaux Pour Ferrari " est lancée quelques mois plus tard. Ce garde-temps, qui arbore le célèbre " Cavallino Rampante ", est le premier modèle manufacturé par Girard-Perregaux pour Ferrari. In 1993, Girard Perregaux owner Gino Macaluso and Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo met through jeweler Gianni Bulgari. A collaboration was quickly established, and the idea of a collection of "Girard Perregaux Pour Ferrari" watches was launched a few months later.
