The white gold full set Retro Collection “Goofy” ref. G3632
Very exciting and extremely rare example of white gold Gérald Genta Retro Collection, manufactured in 2000’s.
Notably known for being the genial and visionary designer of the legendary Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Patek Philippe Nautilus, Gérald Genta was also known for creating some of the most fascinating timepieces under his own brand name established in 1969, also introducing new ways to read time with his retrograde and bi-retrograde movements.
In the 1980s, Genta won the rights to produce timepieces to celebrate Walt Disney and cartoon characters from the Mickey Mouse series.
Since then, these rare timepieces have been produced with various dial designs as well as case materials, mostly in steel.
Whimsical, funny and exciting, the present Retro Pippo ref. G3632 represent a super rare example manufactured in white gold.
It features a retrograde minute indicated by the articulated Pippo’s hand positioned from 8 to 4 o’clock and a jumping hour at 7 o’clock position.
The combination of the colored and vivid Pippo’s character and the perfectly symmetrical dial layout arising from the mother of pearl surface, creates an incredible and absolutely unique “alive” effect.
Housed in a 36mm white gold case, it is preserved in flawless overall condition.
The red original crocodile strap features the original GG white gold buckle and gives an additional and vibrant touch of color to the all timepiece.
Accompanied by the original box and guarantee.
Definitely a joyful, playful and highly collectible wristwatch.
