Classic Gallet Multichron Chronograph design. Rare in this condition. Excellent running condition with leather luftwaffe 2 piece bund strap. Some wear to chrome on crown. Incabloc, Anti-magnetic Swiss Valjoux 7733 movement The Gallet Summit chronograph is a vintage model from the Swiss watch brand Gallet, which has a long history dating back to 1826 as a company with family watch making origins back to the 1500's. Gallet (originally Gallet & Co.) became renowned for precision timing instruments, especially chronographs for aviation, military, motorsport, and exploration—famously supplying watches for expeditions like the 1963 Mount Everest ascent and various professional uses. US President Harry S. Truman wore a Gallet chronograph. The 'Summit' is line within Gallet's lineup of chronographs from the 1960s to early 1970s era. It aligns with their MultiChron series and other sporty/tool chronographs. These watches often featured robust, reliable movements and dials suited for timing events, with scales like tachymeter or telemeter.
