1943 Elgin A-11 from WWII- ALL ORIGINAL CASE, DIAL, AND MOVEMENT. A WONDERFUL EXAMPLE OF AN ALL ORIGINAL MATCHING SERIAL NUMBER ELGIN A-11. CAME FROM AN OLD WATCHMAKER’S ESTATE WHO OWNED A WATCH REPAIR SHOP. IT STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL SERVICE TAG. DIAL- Original dial and hands, seconds hand missing dove tail. Beautiful matte black dial and nicely aged patina and radium lume is intact. Movement- Elgin 539 Mil Spec. In 1943 the 539 only came in gold flashing for the military, so this is not a civilian version. Winds, Runs, Hacks. The watch runs about +30/day. This is watch is sold as is. CASE- Wadsworth base metal case. Signs of wear and corrosion and chipping on the Chromium plating, but still on the higher end of the condition spectrum. Crystal is in good condition as well.
