ELGIN 18 SIZE GOLD-FILLED POCKET WATCH, c. 1886 An Elgin National Watch Co. 18 size open-face pocket watch with a gold-filled "Planet" case by Crescent Watch Case Co. (C.W.C.Co.). White enamel dial with Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds, blued steel hands. The gilt movement, serial no. 2024564, features "Safety Pinion" marking. Case back and covers finely engine-turned and engraved with floral scrolls, running condition.
