The MRG-B5000 is an MR-G model that incorporates the original G-SHOCK model, the DW-5000C, with the use of select metal materials and meticulous finishing. The complex bezel is made up of 25 individual components, allowing for detailed polishing of each individual part, resulting in a higher-quality finish. The Multi-Guard Structure also features stainless steel leaf springs and silicone buffers between the bezel components for increased strength. The bezel top is made of COBARION, which is said to be approximately four times harder than pure titanium and has a brilliance comparable to platinum, while the case and bezel are made of 64 titanium, a high-hardness titanium alloy. The comfortable DuraSoft fluororubber band is molded with titanium inserts where it fits into the case, enhancing its strength. The top of the band features a shock-resistant mark, while the back has the same brick-painted texture as the dial. The dial retains the brick pattern and gold-colored circle lines that are the identity of the original DW-5000C-1B model. In terms of functionality, it also offers practicality with radio wave reception and smartphone connectivity. The module is designed specifically for the MR-G, with a gold-plated circuit retainer plate.
