mr-g, g-shock's most advanced series
The mrg-B5000 is a meticulously machined mr-g model using metallic materials and g-shock's first dw-5000C.
The intricately shaped bezel is composed of 25 parts. Each part can be fine-tuned to a higher texture. In addition, a multi-guard structure has been developed to increase strength by placing shock absorbers between the baffle members. The case and bezel are made of high-hardness titanium based on 64 titanium, and the strap is made of DAT55G, a combination of titanium with high hardness and excellent machinability. The upper part of the bezel is made of "Cobalion," a cobalt-chrome alloy that is said to emit the same brilliance as platinum. In terms of design, the characteristics of the material are utilized to add luster to the black color inherited from the dw-5000C by making extensive use of mirror finishing and applying a dlc coating. The brick pattern and red circle line, the logo of the dw-5000C, are also inherited on the dial. In terms of functionality, the watch also supports practicality by linking the radio wave reception function with a smartphone via Bluetooth.
