Based on the original Santos from 1904, this contemporary reference was introduced in 2018 and incorporates some modern touches and design revisions. It incorporates all of the Santos' historical design cues, but re-interprets them in a more contemporary size. The iconic square-shaped case is complemented by a bright silver dial with Cartier's signature stylised Roman numeral hour markers, 'railroad' minutes track and blued hands. Housed inside the 18K yellow gold case is the in-house Calibre 1847 MC, a self-winding movement featuring a power reserve of around 40-hours. A quick release system has been incorporated into the case for conveniently removing the bracelet, allowing the wearer to change the watch conveniently onto a strap.
