Ref. 97051 No. 0356 Circa 1975 Extra-large 18k (750) white gold wristwatch. Case: rectangular, winding crown set with a cabochon, screw-down case back, signed. Dial: white, Roman numerals, railway minute track, signed "Cartier Paris". Movement: mechanical cal. 970, signed. Clasp: gold folding clasp, signed. Dimensions: 38 x 35 mm. Gross weight: 60.00 g. An 18k white gold manual winding wristwatch with a gold Cartier deployant clasp. Produced from 1973, the Gondole model is an elegant design with curved lines. The example shown bears the mark of Guillod Gunther SA, a historic manufacturer based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, inside the case. Known for producing cases for Patek Philippe, Guillod Gunther SA also collaborated with Cartier in the 1970s and 1980s, notably on the production of the Gondole and Vendôme models. Produced from 1973 onwards, the Gondole model is an elegant design with curved lines.
