'Duograph' was a term used by Breitling in the 1940's and referred to a 'chronograph rattrapante'. A rattrapante (from the French 'rattraper' – to catch up) is one of the most exclusive watch complications (or difficulties). It is similar to the tourbillon and minute repeater. Its function is to measure two elapsed times simultaneously (split and split time), which is displayed via two hands on the central chronograph, which is powered by the manually wound COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber B15.
This exclusive watch is equipped with a complex and high-end movement, the Breitling Caliber B15 Manufacture, a COSC-certified in-house chronometer manual movement with no less than 70 hours of power reserve with two patented innovations: one to simplify the mechanism and the other to improve accuracy. The movement naturally runs perfectly and very accurately with a maximum deviation of 3 seconds/24 hours. This timepiece is equipped with a rare double chronograph function (also called a split-second chronograph). This complication with a double stopwatch and with double second hands on the central axis that can be stopped and continued independently of the movement. After the hand has stopped with the pusher, you can continue measuring with the next press on the middle Breitling crown, with both second hands continuing at the same time.
This watch has the original brown Breitling crocodile leather strap with a luxurious Breitling folding clasp. The strap has been worn and is in good condition. We also supply a perfectly matching blue/green NATO strap for a more sporty look (and this was my personal favorite).
