Breitling Top Time 7656

Description

Breitling 7656 Top Time Chronograph Stainless Steel Back

The Breitling Top Time Reference 7656 characterizes it as a rare, large-aperture aviator's chronograph produced between 1975 and 1978. It is highly regarded by collectors due to its "Jumbo" proportions and its unusual status as a model that was never featured in official company catalogs during its production run. Layout: It utilizes a "reverse panda" tri-compax layout, featuring a matte black dial with three oversized silver-white sub-dials. The sub-dials provide a constant seconds display (at 9 o'clock), a 30-minute counter (at 3 o'clock), and a 12-hour counter (at 6 o'clock). Professionally powered by the Valjoux 7736, a high grade, manual-winding cam operated chronograph movement. A defining professional feature is the bidirectional rotating bezel with a 12-hour graduation, allowing for the tracking of a second time zone. It is one of only two Top Time models to feature a rotating bezel. The watch features a screw-down caseback for improved water resistance and is protected by a domed acrylic (Plexiglass) crystal.
