Here we have a 2020 Breitling Superocean Heritage B20 44 Steel & 18ct Rose Gold UB2030 with its curvaceous 44mm brushed and polished stainless steel case that curves over your wrist with thick, tapered, flat-ended lugs. As part of their Heritage range, this watch takes many design cues from their 1957 Superocean, which was their first 200m dive watch. The polished portions of the case have distinctive crisp lines leading to a lug-to-lug length of 54mm and a case thickness of 14mm, giving the watch an impressive wrist presence. On the right side is a stepped signed twin gasket screw-down crown with deep knurling for grip and the embossed “B”. The unidirectional bezel has a half-minute ratchet setting and a deep knurled 18ct Rose Gold edge with a black ceramic inlay with recessed Rose Gold markings holding a slightly domed sapphire crystal AR coated on both sides above a matte black dial. An outer 60-minute track with lume pips surrounding 18ct Rose Gold applied baton indexes marking the hours at 6 o’clock, a framed date window, elegant 18ct Rose Gold arrow and sword hands are filled with Super-LumiNova and complemented by an 18ct Rose Gold tapered second hand, at 12 o’clock we have the applied 18ct Rose Gold “B” Breitling motif “Officiellement Certifie” printed underneath and at 6 o’clock “Superocean Automatic 200m/660ft” completes this sophisticated sports dive watch. On the reverse, a screw-down solid case back engraved with the details of the watch around its edge and the Breitling motif in the centre, inside an automatic Breitling Cal. B20, 26 jewels, beating at 28,800 beats per hour, introduced in 2017 and based on the in-house Tudor MT5612. It comes paired with its 22mm Breitling black rubber strap secured by a signed push-button deployant clasp with dive extension and comes with its original Breitling box, swing tag, travel case and Breitling paperwork.
