For your consideration, Dr4 Watches has on offer a really cool, classic and fairly rare "triple black" Breitling Chronospace limited edition reference --- only 1,000 of these were made. This is a Breitling Professional line timepiece and all of the features and build quality reinforce that this is an upper-echelon, tactical, functional analog and digital Breitling "grail piece." Breitling aficionados have no doubt heard of the Navitimer, the Chronomat, and possibly even the Aerospace --- but what about this reference: the Chronospace? This limited edition Chronospace (M78365 reference) understands one language only --- the big, bold, Breitling language. Despite its inclusion of only an hour, minute, and second hand in the basic analog mode, Breitling hasn’t cut any corners on the complication front, thanks to its analog and digital timekeeping fusion. Everything about this piece, from its external blacked-out features to the dial detailing, is all about having a supersized approach to life. Nevertheless, don’t be fooled into thinking that its loud personality means it skips on the details. This Chronospace delivers on the "micro" just as well as the "macro." It is excellent if you like to really interact with your timepiece to perform various duties or functions. Precisely because this one is ruggedly cool and is ready for a variety of duties, that, for good reason, has made it one of the most popular and sought after Breitling models ever produced in terms of market demand. Further down I will break-down a few of the features that make this one very collectible and versatile. The condition of this watch is as follows: Pre-owned in Excellent condition. Because we only want timepiece customers who are delighted with their purchase, we strive to add some additional insight to help you make a great timepiece decision. With that in mind, some additional considerations about this watch are... 1. This watch is large at 48mm. I can recommend this watch for anybody with a wrist of 7+1/4 inches and larger. As such, this is a classic and wonderful mens fine Swiss quartz ana-digit (meaning it has both an analog approach to base time reading and a digital approach for all types of interesting functions). This is a fantastic timepiece if you have an average to large sized wrist. In my view, this one looks great on wrists ranging from 7+1/4 to 7+3/4 inches. The bracelet can accomodate up to an 7+3/4 inch wrist but these were also sold and work well on more traditional fabric or leather straps. I think it works well on my 7+1/4 inch wrist so I am in no hurry to have this one leave my collection. See the picture on my wrist and the nice lume at work after just a short exposure to sunlight. There are actually two lume shots --- one in transition with my cool black jacket and one in total darkness. 2. The dial, case, ratchet-knurled bezel crown and lugs-to-bracelet are particularly outstanding and gives the watch a clean, modern, masculine, bold and purposeful Aviator / Astronaut / Engineer / Mission Control design esthetic. Of course, the powerful "triple black" color also brings a luxury sporting vibe that looks at home in environments where one is seeking to impress. Massive wrist presence with this one on the bracelet. Truly an attention getter. 3. The solid caseback speaks to the serious sport watch nature of this one. No need to worry if you around some water, washing your hands and even swimming but this is not a dive watch and other Breiting reference should be your calling if you plan to take a plunge under water. The solid case back has an abundance of information for you to digest. 4. Great and accurate Breitling 78 Super Quartz thermo-compensated quartz movement which basically means that an exceptionally high-grade and robust quartz movement was used to power this beast. Awesome. Cool. Cool. Awesome. There are a variety of "complications" or functions that you can enjoy. Alarms, additional time zones, countdown timers and of course a chronograph (my favorite complications). Use the chronograph to time the submarine sonar hits, how long to hit the afterburners for re-entering the earth's atmosphere... or lap times for a race. Me? Well, I use it to time how long it takes Pierre to put my black coffee on the counter because the guy in front of me ordered some 8 ingredient coffee drink... "And No Pierre, I do not want any oat milk or protein in my small... er 'tall'... black coffee. Mercy and thanks." 2 minutes and 8 seconds --- not his best effort. 5. Absolutely do your homework and read some reviews on this one. So many cool complications. So many additional and costly production choices that Breitling made when designing and producing this particular Professional series timepiece. And in real collectibility and "cool factor" simply due to the limited edition, production run of only 1,000 units and one can see why it is a "grail watch" for Breitling fans. 6. The casework and bracelet finishing is upscale by Breitling standards and sports a wonderful, serious, matte sheen. It elevates above being merely a "tool watch" with this finishing quality. This is an impressive case structure and design integration and it comes across with the same seriousness that one gets if one drives or sees a Mercedes G-Wagon in the mountains of Switzerland. 7. A big value propotion with Breitling is their excellent and classic black mesh bracelet design. This bracelet ramps up the athletic functionality as well as being a magnet for conversation. These bracelets alone are easily a $1K+ additional premium from Breitling if you had to source one separately so keep that in mind. 8. As a bonus a nice Breitling travel case rounds out the package for the listing. The case keeps things tidy, small and efficient in storage or throw it your backpack and go see the world. Picture #2 is the "everything photo." We do not offer returns or a warranty but will work with you to make any post-purchase repairs at our cost (with no profit for us but paid for by you). Everything we sell is working fine for all functions when it leaves our facility (or more specifically the safe deposit box where our watches reside). In some cases, we can go back to our source and get the watch repaired for free based on our relationship and reputation.
