The Breitling Emergency, a survival instrument for aviation, consists of two instruments that are completely independent of each other, both in operation and power source. One is a quartz chronograph developed for aviation professionals and equipped with functions useful for aeronautical activities, and the other is an ultra-compact transmitter with built-in main and auxiliary antennas that continuously transmits a signal at 121.5 MHz, the universal international aviation distress signal frequency, for approximately 48 hours. Since the chronograph and the transmitter are independent of each other, the transmitter is not necessarily disabled even if the watch is damaged in a collision or other accident. The sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, which is used in all Breitling collections, is used, and the numerals and hands are coated with luminescent paint. This guarantees the best visibility in all situations and from all angles.
The watch has had the battery replaced and the exterior finished, but there are some scratches and abrasions that could not be removed by polishing. Please note that there may be scratches that are not shown in the pictures as the watch is also being sold in a store.All photos posted are of the actual watch.
