The Chronomat is one of my most comfortable watches to wear daily. The Chronomat 44 is bulky, but solid. Breitling had a strong stretch for a couple of decades of being flashy, bold, and stylish. You could spot them more easily than Rolex because they were big or flashy. I never wore this Chronomat. The condition of the watch is A++. Why buy new when I have this one for you! It's sat in my watch case for a few years. It needs a happy home. I'll describe this Chronomat from my experience wearing my GMT B01 Chronomat because they are practically the same except for the GMT function and omnidirectional bezel. The Chronomat is one of my most comfortable watches to wear daily. The Chronomat 44 is bulky, but solid. It is the epitome of why I initially fell in love with wearing Breitlings, and why I haven't bought the newer Breitling models. Breitling had a strong stretch for a couple of decades of being flashy, bold, and stylish. You could spot them more easily than Rolex because they were big or flashy. They made a statement on your wrist that no other watch could. Unfortunately, the Chronomat 44 is the LAST OF THAT GENERATION. Breitling has turned to more conservative in their styling. I personally am a flashy guy, so I haven't moved from my GMT Chronomat to a newer model Breitling for this reason. The Chronomat 44 is a perfect daily watch. My personal opinion, the dial in the GMT isnt as beautiful as the dial in the one being auctioned. The dial is simply gorgeous. The solid 18k bezel is a plus while the gold market is up! The stainless steel bracelet has THICK 18k gold overlyed accents. It is not plated........ The gold links have a thick layer of gold that's like a comfortor over a stainless steel bed. Awesome watch! It's a bold piece of art for your wrist! I love it, I just never wore it. I might have a Breitling box in one of my houses in storage.
