Detailed information David Blå” was the name of a fighter squadron in the Swedish airforce, based on the F4 Wing on the island of Frösön in Östersund. The name comes from the letter D being the fourth in the alphabet and referring to ”F4”, while the blue colour symbolizes the 2nd squadron on each wing.
”David” is the word used to spell the letter ”D” in Swedish which in English would be spelled ”Delta”. On the watch is the squadron badge which is worn on the right shoulder on the flight suit.
At the time when the base was closed and thus also the squadron, the latest version of the JA37 Viggen was flown. The watch was worn by one of the fighter pilots of ”David Blå” and was made in approximately 10-20 pieces.
