For sale is a Breitling Professional B-1 Chronometre watch with reference A68362, presumably dating back to the early 2000s. The watch features a fairly large 43mm stainless steel case with a water resistance rating of 50 meters. Said case measures 17mm in thickness and features a helium escape valve on the left hand side of the case. Behind the sapphire crystal sits a stunning deep blue dial with polished steel accents. Both the indices, numerals and hands are luminous and will light up in the dark.
Interestingly, two digital LCD screens can be found on the otherwise analog dial: they harbour a number of intriguing features, including an alarm, day, date, chronograph, countdown timer, second time zone with alarm, and UTC time display. The brains behind these features can be found in the Breitling calibre 68, a precision Swiss Made quartz movement with Chronometre rating. All of these features are controlled by the crown that acts both as a regular crown and push button. Fitted to the watch is its original stainless steel Breitling "Fighter" bracelet with stainless steel buckle. It can easily be interchanged for any 22mm strap or bracelet to drastically change the look of the watch in an instant.
The example sold here has been worn throughout its life, but is still in good cosmetic condition. You will find normal wear marks on the case and bracelet, but no overly coarse damage. Said case has been cleaned entirely, but was left unpolished to maintain its sharp edges, curves and original finish. The bracelet was lightly touched up on the polishing wheel, to give the polished and brushed surfaces their original pop. The sapphire crystal looks unscathed to the naked eye. Please study the pictures in this listing well: they show the watch in the condition that it is in, with no digital enhancements to make it look better than it is.
