For sale is a very nice luxury neo-vintage late 1990's Breitling Colt Automatic Chronometer-certified chronograph with box, reference A13035.1, powered by the Breitling Cal. 13 (based on the renowned ETA 7750). This model was produced for only a short period from 1997 to 2000, making it a relatively hard-to-find automatic chronograph from Breitling’s lineup. While the Colt series is best known for its quartz models, this was the top-of-the-line mechanical version — a proper COSC-certified automatic chrono with all the quality and presence expected from Breitling. This example is in outstanding 100% full original condition: head, bezel, case, bracelet, and clasp are all exactly as they left the factory. It also includes the original Breitling box, making it a truly complete package (papers are unfortunately not present). The classic reverse panda dial remains fully original and shows a bit of fading on the 9 o’clock register along with very minor overall softening of the black on the dial and inner bezel from age — these are subtle details that are only noticeable on close inspection and do nothing to detract from the watch’s near-new appearance at arm’s length. The sapphire crystal has one small catch just above the center where the hands meet, but again this is a minor imperfection that is hard to spot when worn. The case, bezel, and bracelet are truly stunning — they retain a beautiful polish with absolutely minimal signs of wear. The large original bracelet is in excellent shape and should comfortably fit up to an 7.5-8 inch wrist. At 41 mm the case size strikes a perfect balance: substantial and modern for an automatic chronograph, yet not overly gaudy or oversized. All functions are currently operating perfectly — the chronograph starts, stops, and resets to zero with a sharp snap, the screw-down crown functions smoothly, the unidirectional bezel clicks positively, and timekeeping is strong. The watch was recently checked by a professional watchmaker before listing. A great opportunity for Breitling collectors to add a scarce automatic Colt chronograph to their collection, or for anyone wanting a high-quality modern luxury Swiss chronograph with real presence at an amazing price.
