This chronograph, which dates back to 1967, is an emblematic timepiece because it was the first 24-hour chronograph wristwatch to travel into space, and it did so on 24 May 1962, on the wrist of American Malcolm Scott Carpenter, a serviceman in the Korean War who requested a Navitimer 24-hour watch that would be more practical in space for distinguishing day from night. The model we are offering therefore dates from 1967 and has been completely overhauled. It comes with a new strap from the French company Atelier Romane (22/18).
