The Chronomat has a silver dial with applied baton hour markers and steel hands, indicating hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph seconds, and 45 minute counter. The outer slide rule on the dial rotates with the beads of rice bezel. Watch has a manual winding Venus caliber 175. Signed crown. Dial is in pristine condition, with patina to the slide rule. Watch has attractive chamfered lugs and the case is in excellent condition with no deep scratches. The crystal is original in outstanding condition, also with no scratches. Pushers are smooth and crisp, and slide rule bezel turns freely in both directions with ease. This is an early 1st execution version of the 808. with beads of rice bezel, and dates from between 1958-1962. The beads of rice bezel was replaced with a serrated bezel in 1962. Originally owned from new by a UK pilot. Further provenance can be provided upon request. Watch keeps excellent time, and has a snap back case which I have not tried to take off, hence no pictures of the movement. Serial number will be inside the case back and will allow for more accurate dating. Watch comes with original Breitling travel case and cleaning cloth and on a new non-Breitling soft calfskin black leather strap. Cosmetic condition is as per images, please study closely as this forms part of the description. Condition Overall – Watch is in fantastic overall condition with all original parts (strap excluded). Watch keeps excellent time and all functions (Bezel, slide rule, chronograph) work as intended. Crystal / Inner Bezel Assembly - The crystal is original and in excellent condition, with only faintest hairline scratches which would easily polish out. Dial - Original untouched silver/champagne dial with Arabic numerals and applied silver baton hour markers. Hands - Original stainless-steel hands, Central 60 Second Chronograph Hand , Central Hour Hand , Central Minute Hand , Small Seconds Hand at 9:00 Outer Bezel – Original 1 st execution beads of rice bi-directional bezel is in excellent condition and rotates easily (both directions). Slide rule is starting to show fantastic patination. Case – Original stainless-steel snap-back case in excellent original unpolished condition with very few signs of wear, with no deep scratches. Crown – Original signed crown with cursive Breitling ‘B’. Pushers – Pushers are smooth and crisp. Operation & Movement Operation – Watch is fully working and has been serviced within last 12 months. Movement - Watch is powered by a hand winding 17 jewel mechanical Venus 175. Power Reserve - 45 Hours Winding method - Hand Winding Accuracy – Within +10spd tolerance Service History – Watch has been serviced within last 12 months.
